Steps and timeline for the 270 day Eligibility Period for the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA)
1. Submit an Initial Compliance Certificate (ICC), due 3/12/12 – Done
2. Submit a list of the School Building Committee, due 4/9/12 – Done
Consisting of:
Certified Purchasing Officer (MCPPO)
Local CEO
Town Manager/Administrator
School Committee Member
Superintendent of Schools
Local Building Maintenance Official
Person authorized by the town to construct buildings
School Principal
Someone with knowledge of the educational mission and function of the facility
Local budget official and/or member of the local Finance Committee
Community member with architecture, engineering and/or construction experience
Other
3. Submit Maintenance and Capital Planning Information, due 8/7/12 - in process
4. Submit Enrollment Projection and Certification, due 8/7/12 - in process
5. Local Vote Authorizing funds for a Feasibility Study, due 11/5/12
6. Submit signed Feasibility Study Agreement, due 11/5/12
The MSBA is very specific and very strict about the steps we must follow if we want to be a part of their funding pipeline. We will have regular conference calls with our MSBA liaison to make sure we stay on track. Our plan is to follow these steps exactly as prescribed.
